Every season PBF Volleybal hosts its own internal league, according to the PBF Volleybal Rules. The PBF Volleybal Schedule shows when the various matches and activities are scheduled.
- Each league round starts with a clean slate. Results of previous matches in previous league rounds do not count.
- A team that is not present for at least 50% of the matches to be played forfeits all matches of the relevant league round.
- The ranking is determined first by the number of game points won in the league. Teams with equal number of game points are ranked based on the game points of the mutual matches in the league. If ranking is then still equal the ranking is determined by the set points of the mutual games in the league. If then still equal, ranking is by lottery.
- In the first league round, we play a half round-robin scheme with the whole club, meaning each team plays the other team once.
At the end of the first league round: - The top half of the teams from the first league round go into poule A
- The bottom half of the teams from the first league round go into poule B
- The second league round we play a half round-robin scheme within each poule, meaning each team plays the other team once in their poule.
At the end of the second league round the following promotion and demotion rules apply: - The two bottom ranked teams from poule A move to poule B
- The two top ranked teams from poule B moves to poule A
- NOTE: If agreed by both teams, for the team which came second in poule B and for the team which came 5th in poule A to not move to the other poule
The rest of the season depends on the number of teams.
- With 14 teams, the third league round, just like the second round, is a half round-robin scheme within each poule, which means that each team plays once against every other team in the group.
- With 12 teams the third league round is a half round-robin scheme within each poule, meaning each team plays the other team once in their poule.
At the end of the third league round: - The top 4 teams from poule A of the third league round go into poule A
- The bottom 2 teams from poule A of the third league round go into poule B
- The top 2 teams from poule B of the third league round go into poule B
- The bottom 4 teams from poule B of the third league round go into poule C
- The fourth league round is a full round-robin scheme, meaning each team plays the other team twice in their poule.
- The season champion is the winner of poule A at the end of the last league round.
