Every season PBF Volleyball hosts its own internal league, according to the PBF Volleyball Rules. The PBF Volleyball Schedule shows when the various matches and activities are scheduled.

  • Each league round starts with a clean slate. Results of previous matches in previous rounds of competition do not count.
  • A team that is not present for at least 50% of the matches to be played forfeits all matches of the relevant competition round.
  • When teams have equal number of points at the end of a league, their ranking will be determined according to the following rules: first the result from the match between the 2 teams with equal points. Second the sum of the points over all the sets in this league round. Finally by lottery.
  • In the first round of league, we play half a competition with the whole club, meaning each team plays one time against any other team.
  • The second, third and fourth round, we play half a competition within each poule, which means each team plays against every other team in their own poule.
  • Based on the position of the first round, the teams are divided into 2 poules A and B.
    • The top six teams from the first round go into poule A, the bottom six teams into poule B.
  • At the end of the second round the following promotion and demotion rules apply:
    • The two bottom ranked teams from poule A move to poule B; the two top ranked teams from poule B moves to poule A
  • At the end of the third round the following promotion and demotion rules apply:
    • The two bottom ranked teams from poule A move to poule B; the two top ranked teams from poule B moves to poule A
  • With each promotion demotion moment there is the option, if agreed by both teams, for the team which came second in poule B and for the team which came second-to-last in poule A to not move to the other poule.
  • The season champion is the winner of poule A at the end of the fourth round.
